In Bhojpur, a married woman was murdered and her dead body disappeared when the demand for dowry was not met. The parents of the deceased woman kept searching for the dead body on the banks of the Ganges but could not find anything anywhere. The police also got a clue of killing the dead body in the river Ganges. For this, the police also raided several ghats but could not find any trace of the dead body. The case pertains to Ishwarpura village under Karnamepur OP of Shahpur police station area. The deceased is originally Lovely Kumari, 22-year-old daughter of Birendra Singh, a resident of Bikramganj Baluahi village in Rohtas district.
Bullet was demanded
Family members say that Lovely was married on 11 December 2020 with Jaygovind Singh alias Bhuteli Singh, son of Ram Avtar Singh, resident of Ishwarpura village under Karnamepur OP of Bhojpur district, according to Hindu customs. Everything was going well till a few days after the marriage. After this, husband and mother-in-law of the married woman were beaten up by Bhaisur, Jethani, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, demanding bullets and torturing her. Lovely gave information about the demand of bullet being made by her husband to her parents many times. But due to poverty, the maternal in-laws could not fulfill the demand of bullet of the in-laws. Due to non-availability of bullets, Lovely was also assaulted several times, due to which several compromises were made socially.

Lovely Kumari was murdered on February 16, but even her parents did not let her parents know about it. For the purpose of erasing the evidence, his dead body was also disposed of. Somehow, as soon as the family members of the deceased came to know about the incident, they immediately informed the Karnamepur OP police. As soon as the information was received, the police reached Lovely’s in-laws’ house, but the entire house was lying empty there. There was no one in the house. Police and Lovely’s maternal uncle made a lot of efforts to find the dead body but nothing could be found about the dead body.
FIR lodged against 8 people
After the incident, Lovely’s father Birender Singh filed an FIR in Karnamepur OP for killing 8 people including Lovely’s husband Jaigovind Singh alias Bhuteli for dowry and disappearing the dead body for the purpose of erasing the evidence. At present, the police is searching for the dead body as well as arresting the accused involved in the dowry murder case.
